Nightmare dreams

A couple of days ago I saw the worst dream I have ever seen. I had commited a murder and I was sentenced to jail for 10 years.

And the whole time in the dream I was thinking that I am not going to walk out on the streets free for 10 years. That I am not going to go out with my friends for 10 years. See my house, my dog sleeping in her bed, my mum cooking. That I am going to be a living dead for 10 years. But I was experiencing that emotion so clearly, it really felt real. And the funny part is that I was trying to wake up but 3 times I woke up and 3 times I slept and the same dream reemerged. Like I was trapped in a spiderweb that was pulling me in.

I still feel the taste of loss of individuality and freedom. Did I see it because i feel trapped in a way or was it a gift to appreciate things we take for granted? A lot of stress though...

How about a script?

So, as I was traveling with the sub I had an idea for a script, while I was overlooking at a disfigured and mentally ill passenger.

I know it is not clever to publish ideas - someone might steal it and shit like that - but I am full of ideas and if someone likes it enought to steal it then be my guest.

So, the idea is this.
A disfigured man lives alone in his dark apartment. He is about 32 years old and has never tasted the good side of life. So, he decides to kill him self.

Every time he gets there, drinking a certain poison, he hesitates. In his despair he kidnappes a woman from the street.

His plan is to make her hate him so much that she would kill him - since he would very cunningly pass the poison to her. In the beginning she does hate him and of course she screams for her freedom.

But he has the heart of a child and a poet. She is an artist. So, day by day a very strongbond is created between them. She draws his poems,

they make beautiful conversations, he reveals such a unique heart. But nothing changes his mind about dying. So, he decides to reveal the secret to her. Why he kidnapped her. She cries and she refuses. She has come to really care for this man.

Through a dramatic series of strong emotional moments, she understands that if she really cares for him as she does, she has to free him from his misery. In his despair he also threatened her that if she doesnt then he would never set her free. And one day, she pulls through. She puts the poison in his body and he smiles. He is finally free.

Pretty dark I know but has a lot of space for really powerful scenes. Would you like to give me ideas about their moments or write it with me?

Homo as in homosexual... homophobic homoetc...

As a "genuine" filmmaker in my beginning... I work night a few days a week. So, I try to make the most of it. I observe closely people, the way they act, they talk, they sit, they eat, everything. I need to have real references for my ambitious... future... or so I hope... projects - I might end up translating other people's projects instead...

Anyway. I have to be as careful as I can be about my words cause this is a very sensitive issue. I am noticing slowly a change in women's and men's behaviors. Women are becoming more men and men becoming more women.

On one hand there are the homosexuals. Which means a clear "change" in their sexual preferences, according to what is considered normal of course.

On the other hand there are the straight people. They too seem to have their behaviors mixed, again according to what is considered normal. Women are the decision makers, more dynamic. Their voices are louder, they seem ready to walk ahead, while men seem more quiet, very neutral, deprived of the dynamics of a male.

I am left with a huge question mark and no matter how I try I can't figure it out. Why? Why has this happened to people. Or is it normal? And what we thought as normal was only the orders of religion and perhaps a society that had been opressed and led to the illusion of the two, seperate sexes.

Maybe the men and the women are supposed to have a clear line that distinguishes their sex only when it comes to making children. Maybe, since men can mate everyday - not like most animals - there is no differentiation between men and women and we just thought there was one.

Or maybe I am just stretching matters to the edge just to justify a situation that mystifies me.

My self I like men to be men, strong, straight forward, dynamic, in love with women. And I like women to be women, feminine, feminine, feminine. A word that says so much and contains such diversity and beauty.

But it is a matter that troubles my head everyday and noone seems to know the reasons behind this sex-social phenomenon...

The Republicans are doing everything they can to kill turnout in heavily Democratic PG and Montgomery County, MD. Governor Erlich(R)'s re-election could well depend on the sucess or failure of these efforts.

They have distributed "poll watcher's guides" instructing GOP party militants to go to polling places and aggressively challenge people's right to vote, citing any excuse.

They are specifically asking people to threaten poll workers with JAIL TIME for ignoring challenges! It is believed this will occur most heavily in PG County, where African-Americans are likley to vote overwhelmingly for O'Malley.

In neighboring Montgomery County, the electronic polling system is widely forecast to create election day chaos. GOP-sympathetic newspapers such as the Washington Post are playing this up in stoires that could discourage people from trying to vote.

GOP governor Erlich's famous absentee ballot could well be an effort to amp this u-p. Why else would Republicans complain about Diebold election equipment designed to help them steal an election?

children of men

I recently watched the movie Children of men and I must say I was shocked. It is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Technically perfect, it felt like I was actually watching a war documentary. Acting was excellent, Clive Owen was so much in character and so was everybody else.

The script amazed me. All the tools that scriptwriter used to make the story go forward. He kept inventing new people that would help the hero reach his goal. Like a perfect chain. And a every single person was so interesting and with such a strong character. People with loud past and personalities.

No words for directing. The emotional level was just high all the time especially from the middle to the end. How I could feel the desperation of mankind that had no hope or future. How I could feel the surprise of one single pregnant woman. The cry of the baby amidst the bullets and the rockets and the screams.

Congragulations to all the people that worked on this amazing project. I wish I could have been one of them. We need motion pictures like that. It certainly makes us think again before writing or directing a meaningless movie.

Youtube

And here comes a performance of strong ego. You can check out my script, directing, editing and acting work on youtube if you put the word trelenitsa on the search window. I would love your feedack.

freedom of speech

I am a christian on my identity card and I guess I share some beliefs of that religion, that I suppose are just the highlights of a healthy society. Religion works as a great legal system that protects civilians. Dont steal, dont rape, dont cheat. always though with the threat of being punished by being thrown to hell, of course.

Anyway that is not my point. Christianity is agreat religion. Because in the western countries it does not really mess with our daily life. We are free to wear what we want, do as we please, speak our own minds. And that indeed is a great freedom. We take it for granmted and we demand for even more freedom.

But lately there is something changing in our western societies that if we dont pay close attention to, in a few decades might create a whole new scenery for western democracies. And this is islam.

I an watching around the western world islamists protesting against people who express their opinion about their prophet or their actions. I was just watching an islamist cleric man in Australia that in a public speech said it is not the rapists fault, since woman dress in a provoking manner. In his own words "If the meat is free in the open then the cat will attack".

And so many examples. In opera, the pope, in the newspapers, - which by the way are the ultimate expression of free speech, at least some of them - and it makes me wonder. In how much danger are we?

How long before we realise that we are "cooking" for our selves a very dangerous dish.

I dont know what has to be done, but we certainly need to defend these freedoms and I am not sure that this is happening.

We are taking a moderate stand against extreme fanatics whose views of the world are so alien to ours. And whose actions are far far louder than ours. And that can only lead to their victory. Which would mean loss of our liberties.

Which of course has been a form of society that humans have seen before, loss of freedom of speech that is, suffered a great deal and suffered even more to gain those freedom.

What scares me is that history goes round and round and repeats itsself. I dont want to reach the end of my life in a scared islamic society.

SO christians of the world do have children. It is the only weapon of western societies who are going to be overwhelmed by the growth of the islamic families and the decrease of christian ones.

Think about it.

filmmaking

What is it to be a filmmker. It is to want to show things to people the way you are seeing them. It is to shed light to emotions, facts, thoughts, problems, human icons that people can not see, or have not thought for them selves, or didn’t have the time to comprehend how many faces life has. Always shown through the eyes of the creator.

So, revealing in my book is what filmmaking is all about. Even if it is a story that is so far from the truth. Even better. It will awaken dimensions unexplored. Even if it just shows reality. Even better again. It will awaken likes or dislikes, help shape opinions.

One filmmaker once told me. You have to watch the movies that are being made and you have to understand the mistakes they are making, what their faults are, what the audience is not getting. You have to see what is missing and be the one to offer it. At first I thought great idea, that way I will be a step ahead and grap their attention.

But now that I think about it more it is completely wrong. I don’t want to find my voice through what other voices are not saying. I don’t want to discover where the light is not shed so that I can take my flash ligt and very cautiously place it there.

That would be the absolut form of lack of voice, of lack of personal vision, personal beliefs.

As a filmmaker I want to show the things that spontaneously spring out of my soul, my heart, my mind. The deeper I go in, the more in touch I am with the truth of my thought, the more people will undestand and identify with what I have to tell them.

Fight Club

I am watching Fight Club right now, the movie, which by the way, is one of my favorite films.

But it always makes me think. Why do men need to be so violent? Why do they like force, extreme behaviors, what is it in violence that makes it so charming?

Guys why do you really enjoy boxing, bloodshedding games, war, fights and the rest?

If someone could give me an answer I would be grateful for ever. Cause the only answers I have are not really in favor of you.

Someone?
